robert lupone, the brother of broadway icon patti lupone, passed away after a three-year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Robert was well known for his career both on and off Broadway and even made a name for himself playing Tony Soprano’s next door neighbor on the hit HBO series.

April 30, 1973-August. 13, 2022
Robyn Griggs, a film and television star best known for her roles on the soap operas “Another World” and “One Life to Live,” died at the age of 49 on August 1. 13.
“Hello everyone, it is with a heavy heart that I am saddened to announce robyn’s passing,” reads a post shared on her official facebook, confirming the news.
griggs was diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer in 2020.

July 30, 1990-August. 12, 2022
teddy ray, a rising voice on the comedy scene, died on August 10. 12, just two weeks after his 32nd birthday.
ray’s death was confirmed by comedy central, who shared a snapshot of the comedian on stage via twitter along with the caption: “teddy ray was a hilarious and beloved entertainer. He will be sorely missed by the entire comedy community.”
The comic was found floating in a swimming pool and apparently drowned, tmz reported at the time.

Anne Heche died on August 10. 12 at age 53 after being in a terrible car accident in Los Angeles.
“We have lost a bright light, a kind and joyful soul, a loving mother and a loyal friend. Anne will be greatly missed, but she lives on because of her beautiful children, her iconic work, and her passionate advocacy,” heche’s rep told Page Six.
heche fell into a coma after the accident and was soon brain dead. The Los Angeles Police Department reportedly determined that Heche was under the influence of cocaine at the time of the crash.
The actress is survived by her son, Homer Laffoon, whom she shared with ex-husband Coleman “Coley” Laffoon, and her son Atlas Heche Tupper, whom she shared with her “Men in Trees” co-star, James Tupper.

Actress Olivia Newton-John died “peacefully” at her home on August 1. On January 8, she announced her husband, John Easterling, on social media.
“olivia has been a symbol of triumph and hope for over 30 years sharing her journey with breast cancer,” easterling’s statement read, in part. “His healing inspiration for her and her pioneering experience with plant medicine continue with the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund, dedicated to plant medicine and cancer research.
newton-john is also survived by his daughter chloe lattanzi.

“Leave It To Beaver” actor Tony Dow died on July 27 at the age of 77.
His death came a day after his wife mistakenly notified the actor’s team that he had died while in hospice care.
A statement shared on his facebook page read: “we have received confirmation from christopher, tony’s son, that tony passed away this morning, with his loving family by his side to accompany him on this journey.”

“Sorvino passed away of natural causes and had dealt with health issues over the past few years,” his rep said in a statement to Page Six.

Shonka Dukureh, who played Big Mama Thornton in the Baz Luhrmann biopic “Elvis,” died July 21, police confirmed. she was 44 years old.
The musician was found dead inside her bedroom in the Nashville, Tenn., apartment she shared with her two children, according to a tweet from the Nashville Metropolitan Police Department.
No foul play is suspected in his death.

Ivana Trump was found dead in her New York apartment on July 14 at the age of 73. Former President Donald Trump’s first wife reportedly went into cardiac arrest and her medical staff were unable to revive her when they arrived at her location.
“She was a wonderful, beautiful and amazing woman who led a great and inspiring life,” the former president wrote in a statement announcing his ex’s passing.

Veteran actress Mary Mara died on June 26 at the age of 61 after drowning in the St. lawrence river in new york.
new york state police responded to a possible drowning call that morning in the town of cape vincent, where he lived.
Once on the scene, police found his body, which they said showed no signs of foul play, in the water.
Mara was reportedly staying at her sister’s summer house, which overlooks the river, when she decided to go swimming.
She leaves an ex-husband and a stepdaughter, her manager told us.

Tiktok star Cooper Noriega was found dead in his car in a Los Angeles-area parking lot in June 2022, just hours after posting a chilling video of the “young AF”‘s death.
The 19-year-old had been open with his 1.7 million tiktok followers about his struggles with mental health issues and drug abuse.
His cause of death is still unknown.

Goodfellas” star Ray Liotta died in his sleep at the age of 67 on May 26, 2022 in the Dominican Republic where he was filming “Dangerous Waters.”
tmz also reported that no one suspects there was a crime in the actor’s shocking death.
He is survived by his fiancee Jacy Nittolo and his daughter Karsen, whom he shared with his ex-wife Michelle Grace.

Legendary actor and comedian Gilbert Gottfried has died “after a long illness,” his family announced on April 12.
“In addition to being the most iconic voice in comedy, Gilbert was a wonderful husband, brother, friend, and father to his two young children,” the statement read. “Even though today is a sad day for all of us, keep laughing as hard as you can in honor of Gilbert.”
gottfried was 67 years old at the time of his death.

wanted singer tom parker died in March 2022, after being diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in October 2020.
“Our hearts are broken, Tom was the center of our world and we can’t imagine life without his infectious smile and energetic presence,” his wife, Kelsey, posted on Instagram after announcing his passing. “We are truly grateful for the outpouring of love and support and ask that we all join together to ensure Tom’s light continues to shine for his beautiful children.”
Parker also leaves behind two young children.

Taylor Hawkins, drummer for Foo Fighters, was found dead in a Colombian hotel on March 25 at the age of 50.
“The Foo Fighters family is devastated by the tragic and untimely loss of our beloved Taylor Hawkins,” the band wrote on Twitter. “Her musical spirit and infectious laugh of hers will live with us all forever.”
Hawkins’ cause of death is still under investigation. Multiple drugs were found in the room where he died, according to a report from Colombia that cites official sources.

“I got a call last night that no parent wants,” her mother, Jessica Cashmyer, wrote in a statement on Facebook. “My beloved eldest daughter, Jordan, passed away, she was only 26 years old. our hearts are really broken. no parent should have to go through the loss of a child, ever.”
“Please keep my family in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate this terrible tragedy,” the statement continued. “Please understand and respect our privacy at this time. we are surrounded by the love and support of our children, granddaughter [sic] lyla, and family members.”
The cause of death was not immediately confirmed for Jordan, who died in Maryland, per variety.

Academy Award-winning actor Sidney Poitier has died at the age of 94, Bahamian Foreign Minister Fred Mitchell announced on January 1. 7. His cause of death was not immediately confirmed.
Poitier was a staple in Hollywood for 71 years, appearing in iconic films like “A Raisin in the Sun” and “Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner.” He won the Oscar for best actor for his role in “Lilies of the Field” in 1963, and then received an honorary Academy Award in 2001.

Filmmaker and historian Peter Bogdanovich died at the age of 82 on January 1. 6 due to natural causes.
bogdanovich directed the famous 1971 drama “the last picture show”, which received eight oscar nominations. He also directed “Paper Moon” from 1973, “Everyone Laughed” from 1981 and “Mask” from 1985, among other films.
Bogdanovich was also an actor and appeared in “The Sopranos” and “The Other Side of the Wind” in 2018.
