Meda meeda abbayi movie review

Video Meda meeda abbayi movie review

allari naresh, who is desperately waiting for a much needed success, has created a movie called meda meeda abbayi which has hit the screens today. let’s see how it is.

history:-

srinu (allari naresh) is an avid film buff who comes to hyderabad to follow his film trails. During his train ride, he meets Sindhu (Nikhila) and ends up in a selfie moment without her noticing. this selfie gets srinu in a lot of trouble. what problems does this selfie create? who is this sindhu? What is the backstory of him? and how does srinu get out of his problems? that forms the rest of the story.

positive points:-

one of the film’s biggest reliefs is that naresh has steered clear of the irritating spoof comedy altogether. he sticks to his character and gives a decent performance as a quiet guy. he looks smart, nikhila vimal is doing well and doing the best he can. the first half of the movie has some decent moments here and there.

jabardasth fame hyper adhi’s comedy moment is good as he entertains with his typical one-liners. all the scenes of him with allari naresh have been executed quite well. the twist that is revealed before the interval point is quite interesting.

negative points:-

The biggest negative point of the film is its plot. After seeing the film, many might wonder how the same concept worked in Malayalam. Although the entire story revolves around the character of the heroine, the audience barely connects with her.

The film lacks the right depth and purpose. An outstanding actor, the role of Srinivas Avasarala is another disappointment in the film and many of his scenes have many cinematographic liberties. the way the hero gets into trouble because a stupid selfie seems exaggerated and hard to believe.

The suspense of the film is held for too long and to achieve this the character of srinivasa avasarala has not been dragged to any extent. there is no proper romance between the main couple.

technical aspects:-

director g. Prajith came up with a weak story and an even weaker narrative. hard to believe he was the same guy who directed the original with nivin pauly. the movie script has a very flat note which reminds us of Malayalam movies which are quite slow. Nandamuri Hari’s editing is not up to the task, as many unwanted scenes from the last thirty minutes could easily have been cut. photography by kunjuni s. kumar is poor as the audience has the feeling of watching a short film. shaan rahman’s music is ok.

verdict:-

Overall, meda meeda abbayi is a below-average comedy-drama that has some fun here and there. Although hyper adhi’s comedy scenes entertain you in part, they can’t save the movie. the lame story and a lengthy second half are big drawbacks. Even though allari naresh tries his best and tries, the soft narration makes the movie disappointing. watch it only if you have nothing else to do.
