Lovers telugu movie review

lovers Release date : Aug 15, 2014 123telugu.com Rating : 3/5 Director : Harinath Producer : Suryadevara Nagavamsi – B. Mahendra Babu Music Director : JB Starring : Sumanth Ashwin, Nanditha

Sumanth Ashwin and ‘Prema Katha Chitram’ fame Nanditha have paired up for an romantic entertainer titled ‘Lovers’. Directed by debutante Harinath, this film is presented by Maruthi, who has also written screenplay and dialogues. This film has hit the screens today and let’s see how it is.

history:

siddhu (sumanth ashwin) and geetha (tejaswi), are a couple in their middle days. as time goes by they get separated and siddhu falls in love with soumya (shamili). interestingly, siddhu also breaks up with soumya.

Later, he joins engineering, and once again falls in love, but here too he faces many difficulties. The twist in the story comes when Siddhu comes to know that Chitra Subramanyam (Nandita) is the reason behind all her love failures.

why does chitra ruin siddu’s love life? what is the relationship between her and siddu? To know the answers to all these questions, you must see the movie on the big screen.

positive points:

The entire second half is the highlight of this movie. Saptagiri’s comedy is a big plus, and the audience enjoys it to the fullest. His entire track is excellent, and the parody ‘aaradugula bullet’ is particularly funny. Sai, who plays the role of the hero’s friend, has also performed well.

Coming to Sumanth Ashwin, he does justice to his role with his decent performance. nanditha also gives a good performance in a serious role and looks beautiful. tejaswi, shamili, chandini, even though they have small parts, they were decent enough. comedian m s narayana, who played a church father, has also performed well.

negative points:

The biggest negative point of this movie is its script, which doesn’t have much depth. maruthi just tried to handle this movie, with basic script and dialogue. the entire first half is boring and flops. even the songs in the movie cause a big stumbling block and irritate the audience to the core.

Although the female leads performed well, their makeup and costumes were not up to par with their characters. the climax is unwarranted, and the audience will not connect with the love stories, as there is no chemistry between the leads.

technical aspects:-

malhar bhatt joshi’s cinematography is the highlight of the film. he had displayed each place brilliantly. jb’s songs are very good, as is his background music. Coming to editing, the editor should have been more careful, especially in the first half where many scenes could easily have been cut.

maruthi was unable to provide a suitable story for this film. except for the dialogues he wrote for spatagiri, the rest of them were average, as was his script. Director Harinath somehow failed to engage the audience during the first half. the production values of this film seem quite rich and have been shot well.

verdict:-

Overall, lovers click only because of the entertaining second half and hilarious sapatagiri comedy. on the other hand, the lack of luster in the first half and the thin-as-water story make this a one-time movie.
