Video Cinema chupista mama movie review

The successful couple of raj tarun and avika gor are back with their latest film appearance, choopista mama. Directed by Trinadha Rao, this comedienne has hit the screens today. let’s see how she is.

history:-

kaththi(raj tarun) is a careless young man who spends his life aimlessly. one day he falls in love with a bengali girl named parineetha (avika gor) and starts chasing after her. After much courting, he somehow manages to win her love.

The twist in the story comes when Parineetha’s father (Rao Ramesh) enters the scene and learns of his daughter’s love story. he poses a challenge to kaththi and asks her to fulfill it so he can marry his daughter.

what is that challenge? will kaththi accept it? and how he manages to win her love is the story.

positive points:-

The film’s main selling point is the light-hearted comedy that fills up in large doses. there are enough episodes in the movie that will be especially enjoyed by the masses. the second half of the film becomes interesting as certain skits and emotional punches work well. the episode with jabardasth gang went well.

raj tarun lands a custom role and does an outstanding job. Not once in the film is he intimidated by Rao Ramesh’s strong screen presence and acts on par with the seasoned actor. Rao Ramesh is excellent as him and brings a lot of depth to the film.

The music of the movie is pretty good as all the songs are pretty decent. raj tarun’s chemistry with avika gor is quite good and all their scenes have turned out quite well. avika gor looks good but she doesn’t have much to do in the movie.

negative points:-

Although the first half of the film is decent, it has been unnecessarily prolonged. last ten minutes before the interval point could easily have been cropped to make the movie even sharper.

avika gor has absolutely nothing to do in the second half. there are some logics that are lost in the film. the climax has been slightly prolonged and could have ended with a lot of fuss. some love scenes in the first half are unnecessarily prolonged and a bit noisy.

technical aspects:-

As I said before, Shekhar Chandra’s music is very good. all the songs are decent and have been shot very well. The film’s script is decent and flows freely. the dialogues are pretty good and get decent laughs. the camera work is pretty neat and it shows off the film in a good light. the editing is decent, but many scenes in the first half could have been edited to make the movie sharp.

as for the director trinadha rao, he does a very decent job and narrates the film quickly. he shoots good fun of all confrontation scenes between raj tarun and rao ramesh. the only place he falters is during the first half which has a lot of unwanted scenes.

verdict:-

Overall, choopista maava cinema is decent mainstream entertainment that does well on individual screens. Raj Tarun’s huge avatar and some decent comedy elements throughout the film are great assets. if you can ignore some noisy moments and a mundane first half, you can give this movie a chance for its light-hearted entertainment.
