energetic ram hero, has been going through a phase of scarcity for quite some time. Not giving up hope, he returns with a romantic entertainer, Nenu Sailaja. now let’s see if he comes back strong this new year’s day.

history:-

hari(ram) is just like any other young man who wants to fall in love and enjoy his life. To his bad luck, everyone rejects him most of the time. upset by this, he decides not to fall in love again. but fate has other plans and he introduces him to the lovely sailaja (keerthi suresh).

hari has a good time with sailaja and just when he proposes his love to her, she flatly rejects him. an upset ravi continues his life and as time passes he gets a big clue that could help him win back her love.

what’s that clue? And how Hari will use it to win back her love forms the rest of the story.

positive points:-

nenu sailaja is a custom made role for ram. he is comfortable with his character and he performs extremely well throughout the film. The way he has brought mixed emotions and brought out the sensitive side of him is very good.

one of the main attractions of the film is keerthi suresh. The Malayali actress looks gorgeous and has an impressive screen presence. her chemistry with her ram works well and she gives a very confident and poised performance throughout the movie.

The first half of the film is very good, with subtle but entertaining humor. the dialogues, the romance and the feel good factor in the movie will entertain you in a big way. while the first half was pretty boyish, the second half has good family thrills.

negative points:-

Whenever you tell a love story, you know exactly that it will have a happy ending most of the time. the same goes for this movie as the story is quite predictable and has a lot of moments that you can guess right away.

After an interesting first half, the pace in the second half slows down slightly and certain familiar emotions take center stage. the strong-willed heroine’s character weakens a bit during this time, and the focus shifts to family ties.

technical aspects:-

devi sri prasad’s music is one of the added bonuses of the film. none of the songs disturb the flow of the film and it has been shot extremely well. the camera work is top notch and so was the art direction. the dialogues need a special mention, as they have been written very simply and yet they connect in a big way.

referring to the director kishore tirumala, he has done a wonderful job with the film. although he chooses a simple and routine story, the way he has narrated it in a simple but entertaining way is superb. there are no extra characters, no forced comedy or illogical scenes in his direction. the way he brings out subtle but varied emotions from his all-star cast is excellent.

verdict:-

Overall, nenu shailaja is a simple yet beautiful love story with the right mix of familiar emotions. excellent first half, ram balanced acting and clean storytelling are great assets to the movie. if you ignore the routine nature of the script during the second half, you can happily watch this movie to feel good with your whole family and start the new year on a positive note.
