rarandoi veduka chuddam has created quite a buzz for itself with its exciting trailers and music. After a huge round of promotions, the family drama has hit the screens today. let’s see how it is.
brahamarambha(rakul preet) shares a very close relationship with his father. During one of her family’s weddings, Shiva (Chaitanya) falls madly in love with her. The scene changes to Vizag where Brahamarambha comes to continue his studies. Shiva continues to seduce her but Brahamarambha never recognizes Shiva’s true love and gets into a big fight due to a silly incident.
but then it’s too late as shiva breaks up with brahamarambha and goes on with his life. This is the moment when Brahamarambha realizes Shiva’s true love and decides to return to him. but there is a bigger problem in front of her with shiva’s father (jagapathi babu).
what will brahamarambha do now? what are these family problems? And how does the couple get back together? that forms the rest of the story.
The whole movie is shown through the character of rakul and she is the mainstay of the movie and gives an excellent performance as brahamarambha. From her appearance to her attitude, Rakul gives a very innocent yet poised performance. she is exceptional in all the emotional scenes of her during the climax and shows the true actress that is in her.
yes premam showed, naga chaitanya in a mass role, rarandoi has the handsome star in a boy next door role. chaitu looks good and feels comfortable with his character. his acting during the breakup scene is just too good and brings out his lover boy image with full force of him. his chemistry with rakul is also quite good and is the highlight of the movie.
The second half is where the real family drama begins and the proceedings get quite interesting with a good script and fast narration. sampath and jagapathi babu give their best in their supporting roles. Once again, Vennela Kishore shines with her comedic flair and brings good laughs with her comedy.
After starting the movie on a positive and colorful note, the movie fizzles once the scenes switch to vizag. proceedings become lethargic and the pacing stalls completely.
once again, the film’s story is pretty routine and has nothing to celebrate. Many said that the movie has similarities to ninne pelladutha but Rarandoi doesn’t come close to the classic in any area.
although the songs are good, its location is very bad. a breakup song comes out of nowhere in serious situations. even the good songs shown end abruptly.
devi sri prasad’s music is very good but her songs are not used well. Annapurna studios production values are top notch as the film is vibrant and has good supporting artists. the dialogues are decent and so was the camera work. Rakul has been superbly styled in the film, as his costume gives a lot of depth to her character.
As for director Kalyan Krishna, Rarandoi is nowhere near his debut film, Soggade Chinni Nayana. the talented director’s narration wanders here and there and only catches up at halftime. but from there, kalyan krishna wastes no time and brings good emotions and an interesting love story that saves the movie completely. His script had so much room for comedy and romance that it gets lost on many occasions.
Overall, Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam is a decent family entertainer with some good times. he will surely take chaitanya to the next league due to his enhanced stamina to hold a movie together. Although the first half is quite ordinary, the filmmakers add good drama, a nice love story and strong emotions in the second half to save the movie. the summer season is sure to help the movie get decent crowds in theaters, but we suggest you keep your expectations in check and watch the movie with a relaxed attitude.
