the young hero vishal, has had great successes in his career. he now he is back with another rayudu action movie which has hit the screens today. let’s see how this movie turns out.
rayudu(vishal) is a day job working in the market yard. he lives with his grandmother and falls in love with bhagyam (sri divya). As time passes, Rayudu comes to know that both Bhagyam and his father are facing serious problems from a local thug named Rolex (rk suresh).
Unsurprisingly, Vishal takes matters into his own hands and gets involved in the life and problems of the bhagyam. the rest of the story is how rayudu supports bhagyam and assumes the deadly rolex.
vishal is known for doing some massive roles and once again, he proves his worth in rayudu. From the looks of him to the emotions, Vishal is top notch in the movie and is especially good in all the action sequences and it’s a joy to watch him take a hit.
sri divya looks elegant and does her crucial role well. She is an artist of sorts and her chemistry with Vishal is quite amazing. Soori brings the necessary comedic punches. r k suresh who plays the bad guy, looks menacing and is fit for her role.
The first half has some decent moments, but it’s in the second half that the real story begins. all the confrontation scenes between vishal and the villain are quite well executed. the climax fight is pretty good and has been handled extremely well.
one of the main drawbacks of the film is that a small point has been dragged too much. The various emotions and scenes featuring Vishal’s grandmother are decent but stretch the plot unnecessarily.
The pace of the movie is also a bit slow as the director gets distracted after a while and doesn’t finish the movie quickly. there is too much melodrama at the end and the excessive violence and harsh massive elements can put off the regular audience at times. the story is quite simple and highly predictable until the end.
d immam’s background score is quite good and lifts the movie to a decent level. the camera work is top notch and it shows the rustic towns very well. the dubbing done is also good. the script of the film is almost fine. just when you think, the movie has sped up, veering off topic, and the scenes that appear disturb the flow.
referring to the director muttaiah, he has done a below average job with the film. he strays from the point many times and gets confused with his narration. however, the way he showcased vishal and brought in some high-octane action scenes will go down well with the masses.
Overall, rayudu is a film that is clearly aimed at the masses. sequences of violence, melodrama and hard action will go well with centers b and c. if the filmmakers had reduced the dose of unnecessary family drama, the effect would have been even better. however, all those who like realistic action movies and don’t mind the Tamil flavor, can give this movie a try.
