senapathi marks the full debut of legendary actor, ‘nata kireeti’ rajendra prasad. the web movie gained widespread attention with a well-cut teaser and trailer. the movie premiered today at aha. let’s take a look at our review to find out what it’s like.

history:

krishna (naresh agastya) is an honest police officer whose goal is to become an ips officer. one fine day, he is appointed to catch a notorious criminal. unfortunately, he loses his gun when he chases the gangster. His superiors suspend Krishna and order her to find his weapon. Did Krishna find his lost weapon? how does a middle aged person, krishna murthy (rajendra prasad) relate to this problem? to know the details, you need to watch the movie.

positive points:

director pavan sadineni has designed all the characters quite well. he manages to keep the viewer glued to the screen with his solid narration that arouses curiosity. Rajendra Prasad lived in her unique character and made us feel her emotions. Whether it’s her appearance or her body language, the director showed it in a new way. The young actor Naresh Agastya gave the best performance of him as a serious and sincere policeman.

harshavardhan, who is a well-known writer and director, acted with ease and made the audience laugh even in serious scenes. actor rakendu moul, who also wrote the dialogue for the film, appeared in a new avatar and also gave a good performance.

gnaneswari kandregula, satya prakash, josh ravi, and others did their best to make the film riveting. The entire setting, look and feel of the film have been superbly designed by director Pawan Sadineni.

negative points:

The director made the movie run with a racy script in the first half. but, the movie has slowed down a bit as it approaches its climax.

The slow-paced narration in the second half will have you feeling, “can we skip to the good part?” having some dark comedy scenes might have helped the movie.

technical aspects:

Speaking of the crew, Shravan Bharadwaj’s music is exceptional and became an asset to the film. vivek kalepu magnificently made us see the rich images through his lens. Apart from acting, Rakendu Mouli also wrote wonderful dialogues. gowtham nerusu’s editing is awesome and made the movie more intriguing. the production values are super rich and you can see the richness on the screen.

As for director pavan sadineni, he needs special recognition as he showed that he is also capable of handling thrillers quite well in addition to love stories. despite having all the young and new actors, he narrated the film in a gripping way. the way he sustained the movie with racy moments made the process quite interesting.

verdict:

Overall, senapathi is a gripping police thriller with some edge moments. Rajendra Prasad and Naresh Agastya impress you with their stellar performances. if you ignore the slow second half, senapathi is a well done outing and a good one to end the year on a high note.
