just bratuke so better is the first big movie to be released on the big screens after confinement. Starring Sai Dharam Tej and Nabha Natesh, the film was released with the support of the entire film fraternity. Now let’s see how the movie is going to be.
virat(sai tej) is a man who lives by the principle only bratuke so better. but as time passes, he comes to know how important marriage is. In a key turn of events in his life, Amrutha (Nabha Natesh) enters the scene. this time, virat wants love but amrutha is strictly against it. how virat handles this sticky situation is the whole story of the movie.
sai tej looks handsome in the movie and suits his role perfectly. he has improved by leaps and bounds with this movie and is comfortable in all the emotional and romantic scenes. the comedy generated through his character is pretty good in the first half.
nabha natesh enters the scene alone in the interval block and does it well. she tries to keep the scenes right, but her role is not recorded properly. rao ramesh is impressive in her cameo. the comedy punches and sayta gestures are quite good.
The first half is quite impressive with a clear logic of wanting to stay single. Vennela Kishore is a big draw during this time with her comedy. well-composed songs and upbeat scenes keep the audience engaged. the whole plot and the explosion of the interval set the tone very well for a good second half.
After a very windy first half, the pace drops in the second half. the emotional connection is also missing from the film during this time. when the director focused so much on letting the hero understand why marriage is important, he sadly doesn’t focus much on the heroine. with just one scene, he becomes convinced of her love for the hero.
also, at the beginning of the movie there should have been more good scenes of why the hero is not interested in getting married. with such good comedy in the first half, things fall short in the latter part.
If the creators had added more fun and enough romance, things would have been different. plus, the climax is rushed and things are over in a jiffy, which seems odd since the viewer is waiting to see if there’s anything else to come.
one of the greatest assets of the film is the music of thaman. all of her songs are superb and create a good vibe in the movie. the camera work, lyrics, and production values are top notch. the funny dialogues are good and so was the editing.
as for the director, subbu, he has done an acceptable job with the film. his story idea is pretty good and the execution was amazing in the first half as well. but things fall apart in the second half when he loses control of his emotions and speeds up the scenes and the climax.
overall brathuke solo is better its a romcom that clicks in the first half and slows down in the second. the movie is a big screen experience and has clean comedy. Although the story and emotions are predictable and the climax rushed, the film ends like clockwork passable this weekend.
