Savyasachi Telugu Movie Review | 123telugu.com

Savyasachi movie review

post sailajareddy alludu’s mixed reply, chay is back with an action thriller called savyasachi. Directed by Chandoo Mondeti, this film has hit the screens today. let’s see how it is.

history:

vikram aditya(chay) is a guy who suffers from alien hand syndrome where his left hand is not in control most of the time. on the other hand, vikram falls in love with chitra (niddhi agarwal) and when things seem to be going absolutely well, his life is turned upside down when his brother-in-law is murdered and his niece is kidnapped. the rest of the story is how vikram saves his niece and where madhavan appears in all this setup.

positive points:

The first ten minutes of the film are quite interesting as the missing twin syndrome has been established quite clearly. Chay plays him well and since he’s been given a massive lift, the young hero looks good in every fight. the action sequences and emotion shown in the film have been well composed and look good on screen.

niddhi agarwal makes a good debut as she looks pretty and has a very good screen presence. also in terms of acting, she is neat and if she chooses her movies well, she can go a long way in tollywood. bhumika is fine in her supporting role and so is thagubothu ramesh.

some comedy scenes with vennela kishore and shakalaka shankar elicit decent laughs in the first half. Finally,. madhavan is pretty good as a main villain and he does the best he can in the second half. his track is quite ordinary but madhavan brings it to life with his acting.

negative points:

One of the biggest negatives of the movie is that the so-called alien hand syndrome shown in the movie hasn’t connected well with the plot. The film starts off well in the first half, but gradually turns into a routine revenge drama starring Madhavan. things don’t make much sense since the chosen concept and the scenes shown are not in sync.

after the first ten minutes of the movie, there is no story until the middle scene. so many silly family and college scenes are thrown at us for no reason. if vennela kishore and shakalaka shankar’s comedy track hadn’t been there, things would have been even worse in the first half.

the subhadra parinayam scene and the lagga yettu song come at a very emotional moment and completely irritate the audience. although the theme becomes routine in the second half, the game of cat and mouse between madhavan and chay does not create the necessary emotional effect and lacks drama.

technical aspects:

The production values from the filmmakers at mytri are excellent, as the film looks rich in every frame. Keeravani’s music is below average, but her background score makes the second half better. the dialogues are decent and the lyrics too. the movie needs some serious editing as about ten minutes could have been cut to make things better.

as for the director chandoo mondeti, he has done a below average job with the film. he chose a routine revenge drama and added an alien hand syndrome to make the role of the hero interesting. but he does not use it properly. furthermore, the way he has underutilized an actor like madhavan is very disappointing. however, he has exhibited chay in a very good way.

verdict:

Overall, savyasachi is an average revenge drama that has some decent moments in the second half. the concept is good but it has not been properly woven into the proceedings and this is where things get routine. Since there are no big movies in the next few days, there will be some interested in this revenge drama that can be seen this weekend. but don’t expect anything really different.
