The first trailer for Jurassic World: Dominion has finally arrived after what seemed like a lifetime of waiting, debuting in February 2022. Store in this new world of humans and dinosaurs coexisting.

The third film features writer/director colin trevorrow, and in addition to the trailer, we’ve had some sneak peeks showing bryce dallas howard’s claire in trouble, chris pratt’s owen chased by a dangerous new raptor, and the debut from dewanda wise as a pilot named kayla watts.

There’s a lot for fans to get excited about, so without further ado, here’s everything you need to know about Jurassic World: Dominion.

jurassic world 3 release date: when is jurassic world dominion released in theaters?

Jurassic World: Dominion will hit theaters on June 10, 2022 after a one-year delay from its original release in June 2021.

As mentioned, writer/director Colin Trevorrow has confirmed that Part 3 is complete ahead of its theatrical release, so we just have to cross our fingers and hope it doesn’t suffer another delay.

Filming began in February 2020 before wrapping up in March, but the film was the first blockbuster to start filming again in the UK in July and finished filming in November 2020.

Since it’s bringing back the og stars (more on them in a bit) and wrapping up the entire Jurassic saga to date, we’re expecting big things from the movie we’re forecasting to be the biggest hit of 2022.

Jurassic World 3 Trailer – Watch Jurassic World Dominion Trailer Online

As mentioned above, the long-awaited first trailer for Jurassic World: Dominion arrived on February 10, 2022.

if you missed it above, here it is again in all its glory:

But if you want even more Jurassic goodness, there’s also a five-minute prologue video that was released as a sneak peek in November 2021 (after an earlier theatrical run with fast & furious 9) that you can still watch.

It won’t be part of the movie, but it still establishes what we can expect from the new world order.

jurassic world 3 cast: who’s back in jurassic world domain?

chris pratt and bryce dallas howard will be seen once again as owen grady and claire dearing.

After the dinosaurs escaped into the real world at the end of Falled Kingdom, Trevorrow revealed that Owen is still trying to help them when we meet him in the third movie.

“Parasaurs are in danger of being poached. There are a lot of shady guys who want to get their hands on dinosaurs, so he’s working to protect them,” he explained.

however, as for claire, trevorrow doesn’t say where we’ll find her at the start of dominance, but added that he’s “questioning her methods and whether she can keep herself safe.”

Of course, Pratt and Howard aren’t the only stars returning for the third film, and we’ll get to the bigger ones soon.

First, Isabella Sermon returns as Maisie Lockwood, the genetically engineered offspring of John Hammond’s former partner, Sir Benjamin Lockwood.

Justice Smith and Daniella Pineda are also reported to be returning as Franklin Webb and Zia Rodriguez, along with Omar Sy de Lupin as Velociraptor trainer Barry Sembene.

We were hoping that Jake Johnson would return as Lowery after missing out on the sequel, but that’s no longer the case. the star revealed in August 2021 that scheduling conflicts prevented her from reprising the role.

bd wong will also return as the morally dubious geneticist dr henry wu, so hopefully he’ll finally get his comeuppance. But he won’t be the only Jurassic Park star to return for the trilogy’s finale.

Although Jeff Goldblum returned to the franchise as Dr Ian Malcolm, he only had limited screen time in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. But don’t worry, fans of the original, Goldblum will be back alongside Sam Neill and Laura Dern.

trevorrow has also promised that the og trio will get “as much screen time in the movie as bryce and chris”, adding: “they’re not together all the time, but we follow their stories equally.”

Pratt had previously teased that they would all be returning, but there’s still no official word on reruns of Ariana Richards (Jurassic Park), Vince Vaughn, Julianne Moore (Lost World), William H Macy, Tea Leoni (Jurassic Park III). ), or Lauren Lapkus (Jurassic World).

As for the movie’s villain, there’s a returning classic character who could fill that role: Campbell Scott takes on the role of Lewis Dodgson, aka the dubious man in the shadows who handed over to Dennis Nedry (Knight). wayne) that fake shaving can. cream to store dinosaur embryos.

Dodgson was an unresolved plot point in the first movie, so we’re glad he’s back. hopefully he brings his black market super spy antics with him, maybe with an empty kinder surprise package to hide a dinosaur egg or something.

One person who has ruled out a return is Office Us star Andy Buckley, who played Claire’s brother-in-law Scott Mitchell in Jurassic World. That also means it’s unlikely we’ll ever see Judy Greer again as Claire’s sister Karen.

Newcomers to the franchise in the third film include Archive 81’s Dewanda Wise and Mamoudou Athie, but it’s not yet clear who the latter will play.

We’ve gotten our first look at Wise in the movie and it appears he’s siding with Owen as Trevorrow captioned the couple’s photo as “heroes” while Pratt teased her “makes an entrance you’ll never forget” .

jurassic world 3 plot: what will happen in jurassic world domain?

After the dramatic cliffhanger of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom saw dinosaurs on the loose in the real world, the 2019 short film Battle at Big Rock teased the new world order we’ll see in the third film.

According to Trevorrow, the third film picks up three years after this short film, as Dominion is set in 2022. “Everything in my mind has always been more or less current,” he explained.

“so big rock took place about a year after fall kingdom in 2019, when it came out, and the t-rex just happened to be in the sierra nevada forest where they all escaped to… she just lived there; they’ve been fighting to catch her for a long time.”

We still don’t know much about what the third part will be about, but trevorrow has revealed that, unlike the previous films, this film will take place outside of the United States.

“[Dinosaurs] have been multiplying and living among us and colliding with us,” he explained. “dominance is set all over the world, across many different environments: desert, urban, wilderness, snow.”

trevorrow has been calling the third part a “scientific thriller” and howard has been talking about how the film “will tie the whole saga together”, especially since it’s reportedly the last film in the jurassic world series.

With returning characters from jurassic park, dominion will not only wrap up the jurassic world trilogy, but the entire saga and leave it as “one long story”.

“When you got to the end of the Jurassic Park trilogy, it may not have been as clear what the full story of those three movies was because they were a bit more episodic in how they were approached,” Trevorrow explained.

“but this trilogy isn’t like that. it’s very much a serialized story. the important thing for me was that when you watch domain, you really feel like you’re learning what part of the story the first movie series was and how everything what happened in those movies actually informs what can ultimately happen in this.”

but will it really be the end? Producer Frank Marshall has been teasing that there’s more to come, confirming: “We’re definitely looking to do more in Jurassic World.”

We can also expect new dinosaurs, of course, including the terrifying atrociraptor seen in a first-look image chasing after owen. “While velociraptor is a bit more of a poacher, atrociraptors are a bit more brutal,” trevorrow noted.

“these things will just come at you. and in this particular case, they’ve picked up his scent, and they won’t stop until he’s dead. they’re pretty brutal. they’re pretty cruel.”

as for who will be the villain of the film, trevorrow hinted to ew that it will be the return of lewis dodgson.

“He’s the main villain in both of [Michael Crichton’s] novels, and I think what Campbell did with the character is amazing. I can’t wait for people to see it,” she joked.

How will the original trio fit into the plot? Trevorrow knew one thing he didn’t want to do: turn them into “caricatures or parodies of themselves.”

added: “they are so iconic that you can easily fall into that trap. you start by asking the most basic questions: who are these people now? what do they think of the new world they live in? and how do they feel about being part of their story? ultimately it will be in collaboration with the actors. they know and love these characters. we will do it together.”

goldblum has been teasing a “do or die” scene that they’re involved in, while trevorrow has revealed that they’re involved in the ending in some way. That’s not all, as Neill has promised fans that they can expect something big.

There might even be romance in the air for two of the returning characters…
