Naruto, in what order to watch the whole series, movies and OVA? – Meristation USA

The Naruto universe is one of the richest and largest in the history of manga and anime. the creation of masashi kishimoto began his journey in shueisha’s shonen jump in november 1999 after enchanting the publisher’s editors a few years earlier with a one-shot that would eventually lead to the hero of the hidden leaf village . everything else is history, like his anime, full of episodes, movies, ova, and yes, filler. if you plan to watch naruto and naruto shippuden and you want to know the correct order to see them all, you are in the right place.

naruto has had a total of 11 movies to date (three from the original series, seven from naruto shippuden and one from boruto: naruto next generation). many of them are filler, so they are not necessary to enjoy the true canon. not surprisingly, there are two exceptions: the last: naruto the movie and boruto: naruto the movie. these two are canon and, especially the first one, it’s tremendously important to see.

if we’re watching naruto shippuden and we skip the last one, we probably won’t understand what has been going on between the characters during the last few episodes.

in what order to watch naruto’s eggs?

in the case of ovules (original video animation) it is more complicated. They are a kind of short films of 10 to 30 minutes (approximately) that have been released to complement the movies, special episodes of the anime or to celebrate a specific event related to Naruto. not only are they more difficult to find, but they are also quite complicated to place because they have little to do with the plot (yes, they are pure filler). it should be said that as of November 2020, the author masashi kishimoto has taken the helm of the boruto manga, so in case anyone had any doubts: the boruto manga is completely canon. consequently, so is anime; although that does not prevent it from being a bit of padding. after its premiere in the weekly shonen jump in may 2016 and with a monthly publication frequency, the series of the son of naruto uzumaki was gaining popularity thanks to the work of ukyo kodachi and mikio ikemoto, who in 2019 became part of the magazine v jump, from the same publisher.
