Review : Khiladi – Half baked crime drama | 123telugu.com

khiladi is the first big problem that has arisen in the third wave of covid. Directed by Ramesh Varma, this leading man from Ravi Teja is out now. let’s see how it is.

history:

Mahatma Gandhi (Ravi Teja) is a happy family man who gets involved in a money laundering case worth Rs 10 billion. he gets arrested and a psychology student played by meenakshi chowdhury is released from jail. As soon as Gandhi comes out, he gives everyone a big surprise. what is that clash who is gandhi in the first place? And what is his connection to the 10,000 crores? To find out the answers, you need to watch the movie on the big screen.

positive points:

khiladi is a custom made paper for ravi teja and excels at it. she had to show two variations in the film and she did it with aplomb. khiladi is packed with a good supporting cast and each character has enough range to act. meenakshi chowdhury gets a good role and performs well in all the scenes.

dimple hayati goes all out and explodes on the screen. the masses will love her glamor show on film. late, anasuya is getting good roles and in khiladi too, she has surprised with a good turn. Vennela Kishore, Murali Sharma and Sachin Khedekar play her roles well.

one more advantage of the film is the successful music of dsp. although some songs feel like speed breakers, they have been shot well. the first half has decent humor and the pre-interval twist and interval explosion are the highlights and leave the audience on high.

negative points:

The movie starts off on a simple note and some basic comedy keeps the audience engaged. but things get high with a solid interval blast. one would think that the actual flashback of the hero will be interesting in the last part. but that doesn’t happen as the movie unfolds with too many twists and turns that weren’t necessary at all.

Also, the hero gets away with it too easily. the motive for him to play smart is not stated at all. the movie keeps fluctuating from time to time and bores the audience. the excitement in the second half completely disappears.

also, the character played by arjun pokes fun in many scenes. he seizes ravi teja in several scenes but fails to arrest him. the film is full of loose ends and fails to control proceedings. the climax seems too silly and there was no need to open the threads for a sequel.

technical aspects:

The film’s production values are pretty good. but the camera work is fine. the action blocks are good in the first half, but seem overdone in the second. the dsp music is good and so was the bgm. ravi teja’s style is not suitable as it looks boring and unglamorous in many scenes.

referring to director ramesh varma, he has done a disappointing job with the film. he narrated the film well in the first half and ran out of ideas in the second. he makes a mess of the proceedings and tries to play it smart as the movie’s caption, but fails miserably. there is absolutely no seriousness in his narration during the second half, as he transforms the character of the hero in a second from bad to good. this leaves no impact on the audience.

verdict:

Overall, Khiladi is a half-hearted crime thriller that works only in the first half. decent comedy, good songs, and interval twists are staple assets. but the film takes a nosedive in the second half and never recovers, making khiladi a dull, rushed affair for the audience.
