Video Siddhartha telugu movie review

TV star turned hero Sagar makes his appearance as a full-fledged hero in today’s Siddhartha release. the film is produced by dasari kiran kumar and now let’s see how it turns out.

history:-

surya(sagar) belongs to a family that has problems with another factionalist family. To end the deadly feud between the two families, Surya’s mother (Sana) sends him to Bangkok to lead a new life.

There, Surya changes his name to Siddhartha and falls in love with Sahasra(Ragini). when things seem to be going perfectly well, her mother suddenly asks her to come back and marry the daughter (sakshi chowdary) of her enemy’s family.

what will surya alias siddhartha do now? what will happen to sahasra? Will she marry according to her mother’s wish? that forms the rest of the story.

positive points:-

sagar makes a decent attempt as a full-fledged hero. he has the looks, the acting talent and the screen presence and he can go a long way if he chooses his movies well. sagar adapts well to his role during the first part and generates impact. all the scenes of him with the heroine have been well designed.

heroine ragini gets a meaty role and impresses to a degree. happy days fame, ranadhir lands a good role and does his best as a supporting cast. ajay is meaty as the bad guy. the first half of the movie is good and the interval explosion is very good. satyam rajesh manages to bring some laughs during the second half.

less :-

first of all, the director fails to use sagar’s talent during the second half. the hero is barely seen during this time and other unnecessary characters take center stage. after an engaging first half, the film falls apart as the twist wears off and the proceedings become routine with a few unnecessary clues.

Logic goes awry during this time, as a decent story gets pretty silly. the climax of the film also creeps in with some routine emotional moments. Ajay’s role and his animosity with the hero lack clarity.

technical aspects:-

A special mention goes to producer dasari kiran kumar for his superb production values. all the money you have spent is displayed on the screen. decent camera work helps show off these gorgeous locations nicely. the music is ok, but the background score is good. the script is trashed during the second half.

referring to the director dayanand, he has done a good job with the film. the point of conflict, the narration and writing of it are very good during the first half. but he too falls into the trap of commercial formulas and disrupts the process during the second half.

verdict:-

Overall, siddhartha is a below average fare that has some very interesting moments during the first half. sagar performance and good production values are core assets. but a lackluster second half and a prolonged climax make this movie a good choice to watch this weekend.
