(pocket-lint) – Jason Bourne’s films brought the world of espionage and CIA-ordered assassinations into the new millennium, while also making Matt Damon a true Hollywood action star.

The films focus primarily on Damon as Bourne, a CIA-controlled assassin who loses his memory and begins a journey to discover his identity, ultimately turning him against his supervisors at the CIA. There is also a TV show, Treadstone, which completes the Jason Bourne universe by delving into the background of the CIA program that trained assassins like Bourne. It only has one season. there are also reports of a six bourne movie in the works.

When you first meet Bourne (Matt Damon), you know him as an anonymous man with two gunshot wounds to his back. he has been rescued by a fishing boat in the mediterranean sea, and when he wakes up, he doesn’t remember who he is or his past. The only clue is a laser projector found under his skin that projects the number of a deposit box in Zurich. He then sets off and eventually learns that he is part of a secret assassin training program for the CIA.

bourne supremacy (2004)

Two years after disappearing at the end of the Bourne identity, Bourne and Marie Kreutz (played as Franka Potent) now live a peaceful life in Goa, India. Meanwhile, the CIA deputy director is working on a deal, but the operation is ambushed by an unknown assailant, who kills everyone and leaves Jason Bourne’s fingerprints to frame him for the murders. This same killer tries to find Bourne and Marie. Bourne, of course, assumes that the killer was sent by the CIA and that the CIA has renewed its efforts to find Bourne.

the bourne ultimatum (2007)

The Bourne Ultimatum follows Bourne, again played by Matt Damon, immediately after the end of Bourne’s supremacy. She learns that Simon Ross (Paddy Considine), a journalist, is working to uncover the secrets behind a CIA assassin training program known as the Running Stone. From there, we see him compete against the CIA as the agency tries to cover up the program’s existence by murdering everyone involved.

the bourne legacy (2012)

The Bourne Legacy is the only Bourne film that doesn’t star Matt Damon as the title character. Instead, the action centers on a Department of Defense asset named Aaron Cross (played by Jeremy Renner). Cross received similar training to go through a program called the result of the operation. When a link between the result of the operation and the Stepstone becomes apparent, retired Air Force Colonel Eric Byer (played by Edward Norton) orders all the resulting assets to be killed, but, unfortunately for him, Cross survives. .

jason bourne picks up 12 years after the events of the bourne ultimatum, in which bourne laid out the cornerstone program. Matt Damon is back and his character is fully recovered from the amnesia, but he is forced to live in hiding. The CIA is still on the hunt for him. Her analyst Nicky Parsons (played by Julia Stiles) even uncovers evidence linking Bourne’s father to the creation of the Running Stone, and she sets out to find him. This sets Bourne on the path to once again face off against CIA leaders who still want him dead.

running stone – season 1 (2019)

the first and only season of treadstone aired in the usa. uu. network. It is part prequel and part sequel to the Bourne film series, with part of the story set in 1973, when we see CIA agent John Randolph Bentley (played by Jeremy Irvine) escaping from a Soviet behavior modification program. known as Cicada in East Berlin. From there, the show plunges into the present, with the rolling stone assets going about their normal lives until they suddenly activate and become world-class assassins like Bourne.

note: you might see the treadmill first, before the movies, in your replay, but the jump to the present in the first season may confuse you or not mean as much to you. it can also be viewed on its own or after the film series, which is what we recommend.

bonus: the bourne identity (1988)

if you want to see absolutely everything about bourne, then you must watch this made-for-tv movie that aired on abc in two parts in 1988. chamberlain) waking up and not remembering who he is while displaying abilities most normal people don’t know about. The best part, though, is that you can watch it for free on YouTube (unofficially).
